S.H.I.N.E. - Striving To Hone Influential Narratives of Excellence
We, the students of the Howard University Cathy Hughes School of Communications Student Council (SOC), resolve to establish a structure of representation that serves the best interests, needs, and aspirations of our talented student body. In conjunction with the goal of the Student Council, we aim to address the concerns of the undergraduate students in the School of Communications, serve as a liaison between the faculty, HUSA government, and student organizations, promote integration of majors with storytelling in the departments: Media, Journalism, and Film and Communications Studies, and facilitate collaboration for quality programming.
